The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered will be releasing sooner than you can expect. There are new details, screenshots, and features come with the new leak via the official Twitter of Naughty Dog.
The leak was first shared by the PS Deals website. This leak revealed key information about different features the game will include to justify the expected £70/$70 price tag. You know that as soon as any news goes public, an official trailer for the game that includes a release date of January 19, 2024, was the next to leak by Insider Gaming. The trailer itself isn’t up on YouTube right now but you can view it by visiting Insider Gaming’s website. The rumored remaster doesn’t actually tell us much about the state of Naughty Dog or the broader industry.
Further About the Game
According to the leaked description of The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered on PS Deals, the game will include a roguelike survival mode called No Return. You’ll be tasked with surviving for as long as possible. You will survive through a series of randomized encounters, playing as a whole host of unlockable characters.
The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered will include something called ‘Lost Levels.’ The listing in the leak describes “early-development” versions of three levels that were cut from the original game. It will also include hours of developer commentary. This commentary will feature insights into the original game’s development. It will also have a Guitar Free Play mode, which will let you mess around with the guitar minigame alongside several other instruments.
And finally, the game will include various PlayStation 5 enhancements to improve things like loading times and graphical fidelity. The game will also include the original game’s multiplayer mode, Factions, which was absent from the PS4 version.
The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered is not the only remaster that Naughty Dog is working on, as the studio is also reportedly developing a remake of the original The Last of Us for PS5. The remake will be a complete overhaul of the 2013 game, with new assets, gameplay mechanics, and story elements.
The listing does not specify a release date or a price for The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered, but it does mention that it will be compatible with the PS4 version’s save data. It also states that the game will require at least 100 GB of storage space on the PS5’s SSD.
