In Cocoon, the Triplets are the third big challenge you face. They’re part of Chapter 4 and show up about halfway through the game. You’ll meet them at Checkpoint 34, which you can find in the game’s menu. To start the battle, just cross the bridge made by the Orbs at Checkpoint 34. That’s where the fun begins with the Triplets!

Boss: The Triplets
In the beginning, the boss won’t show up in cocoon. Instead, you’ll see a small purple plant growing in the middle. You can interact with it to pull out the growth, creating a tiny flower that copies what you do. Press the A or X button to quickly swap places with the flower. This move is important for the challenges ahead. Please spend some time practicing this move and see how it works. Switching places with the flower will be helpful in the upcoming fights.
As you move forward, you’ll notice a big plant growing from one of the surrounding plates. Go near it with the explosive plant you’ve been carrying. Keep doing this until the plant structure breaks and the boss wakes up. This smart move of blowing up the explosive plant against the growing structure makes the boss wake up, ready for a big fight.
The Cocoon Phase: Tactics for the Final Showdown
The big boss will jump onto spinning platforms in a circular arena. It moves fast and can kick you out of the game if it touches you, making you start over. So, be careful and stay away from it. Plan your moves carefully, dodge its spins, and stay safe.
When the boss aims at you, use teleportation to quickly move to another spot. Watch out for a black tornado; the boss will teleport there after a while, making that part of the arena dangerous. Avoid getting hit by the boss or the tornadoes to keep your advantage.
As the fight goes on, more plants will appear in the arena. Use them to attack the boss and weaken it. Keep doing this to wear down the boss and get closer to winning.
To beat the boss in cocoon, you’ll need to hit it several times. But watch out! As you attack, the boss will break some platforms, making it harder for you to stand safely. But don’t worry; these platforms warn you by glowing blue before they break. When you see this, move quickly to avoid getting squashed.
The good news is that the platforms will return after a short time, giving you a chance to keep fighting. Pay close attention to these warnings to stay safe and find opportunities to attack the boss.

The boss will make things tougher as you keep fighting by slowing you down with red goop. This means you’ll need to be extra careful and use your special ability to teleport to dodge the boss’s attacks. Even though moving around becomes harder, stay smart and use your teleport ability wisely to keep up the fight. Adapting to these changes is key to winning against this tough opponent.
Final fight
In the big final fight, the boss puts up a shield to protect itself, making the battle harder by using moves it’s done before. It spins around fast, mixing up its attacks from before. Plus, now it can disable three platforms at once, making things even tougher. Watch out for signs that platforms are about to be destroyed, and use your clone flower to escape quickly if needed. This part of the fight needs you to pay close attention, react fast, and use your items wisely to dodge the boss’s attacks and win the showdown.
When the boss creates a plant-like thing, use it to land the final blow and end the battle victoriously. This is your chance to finish off the boss once and for all, showing that you’re the winner after facing all those tough challenges. After the battle ends, celebrate your victory and get ready for what comes next in your journey through the Purple Orb world in cocoon.
